The 63rd edition of the prestigious Miss International beauty pageant is set to take place on November 27, 2025 in Tokyo, Japan. The Miss International Organization officially announced the news on March 24, 2025 via its official website. More than 70 delegates from across the globe will travel to Japan to compete in this international festival of beauty and fashion.
This edition of the Miss International beauty pageant is going to be very special, as several countries will be making their return to the competition. Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Greece, Norway, Tunisia and Zimbabwe will resume their participation this year. Notably, the Democratic Republic of the Congo last competed in 1987 under the name Zaire, while Angola, Greece, Norway, Tunisia and Zimbabwe last took part in 2023.
Miss International is one the biggest and oldest surviving international beauty pageants in the world. The competition was created in the year 1960 in Long Beach, California in the United States and moved to Japan in 1968. In 1971, the event again moved to the United States and from 1972 to 2003, the competition was again hosted by Japan. China hosted the Miss International beauty pageant in the years 2004 and 2007 and since 2008, Japan has been serving as the host country for this prestigious international beauty pageant. The competition is owned by International Culture Association (ICA) based in Tokyo and Akemi Shimomura is the current president of the Miss International competition.
This year’s Miss International competition will commence in the first week of November with the arrival of all the delegates in Japan. Over the following days, the delegates will take part in different pre-finale activities like photoshoots, runway shows, individual interviews and some socio-cultural events. After completing these events, the delegates will compete in the highly anticipated world finals that is set to take place on 27 November. At the conclusion of the grand event, the reigning Miss International, Huỳnh Thị Thanh Thủy from Vietnam, will crown her successor. This month of November is going to be very special for Japan as it would welcome some of the most beautiful and talented women from all around the world for this extravagant international event.
