Shresya Singh from Jharkhand has been selected as one of the national finalists for the 2026 Mr. India Universe competition. The national finale of the competition is scheduled to take place later this year. At the culmination of the event, the new Mr. India Universe winner will be chosen.
Shresya Singh is an actor and model originally from Dhanbad, Jharkhand and is currently based in New Delhi. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, along with a one-year Diploma in Acting from the Indian School of Acting. A polyglot, he possesses knowledge of Hindi, English, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Konkani, Marathi and French, with knowledge of Sanskrit, he combines a diverse linguistic background with a wide range of creative and athletic pursuits. Trained in martial arts, he holds a Yellow Belt in Taekwondo and a Purple Belt in JSKA Karate, and has also developed skills in singing, dance, and playing musical instruments including the bugle, guitar, and trumpet. His interests extend to filmmaking, fashion, fitness, yoga, chess and subjects such as space, underwater life, and quantum physics, reflecting his curiosity and commitment to continuous learning. During his academic years, he represented his district in chess competitions, participated in karate tournaments at district, state, and international levels, served as a member of his school band and won multiple acting awards while actively participating in his college drama society. His journey has been shaped by frequent relocations across cities including Goa, Pune and Chandigarh, which helped him adapt to diverse cultures and languages from an early age. He also overcame significant personal and financial challenges, and facing criticism and rejection while pursuing acting and modelling. Rather than allowing these setbacks to define him, he channelled them into personal growth through fitness, self-development and artistic expression. Driven by resilience and a passion for storytelling, he continues to pursue a career in acting and modelling with the aspiration of representing Indian cinema and fashion on the global stage while inspiring others through his creativity, perseverance, and authenticity.
Mr. India Universe is a national competition for men in India. It is organised by Glamanand Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the Indian franchise holder of the globally renowned Miss Universe competition. The event is spearheaded by its founder and chairman, Nikhil Anand, and serves as a platform for aspiring male models and personalities from across the country. Following a nationwide audition process, some of India's most talented and promising contestants have been selected to compete in this year's national finale. Before the grand finale, the finalists will undergo an intensive series of grooming and training sessions designed to enhance their confidence, communication skills, personality and stage presence. The contestants will arrive at the finale venue, where they will participate in a schedule of official photoshoots, pre-finale activities, rehearsals and a range of preliminary events leading up to the grand finale. At the culmination of the competition, the reigning Mr. India Universe, Bishan Madappa from Karnataka, will ceremonially relinquish his title and award his successor.
