Sanjana Sood has been chosen as one of the national finalists for the biggest beauty pageant in the country – Miss Universe India 2025, scheduled to take place in the coming weeks. She appeared for the final auditions of the 2025 Miss Universe India competition held on June 15, 2025 at the Hotel Opulent by Ferns N Petals in New Delhi and made her way to the national finals.
Sanjana Sood is an actor, singer and performer from Faridabad, born in Delhi. Her paternal grandmother returned from Kenya during the civil war, while her maternal lineage traces back to Rawalpindi, Pakistan - instilling in her the spirit of a global citizen with an Indian soul. A graduate in Economics and Mathematics and a trained actor from the National School of Drama, she is also a former international-level shooter. Despite facing bullying in school for acne, Sanjana found strength in self-discovery during the lockdown, embracing her passion for the performing arts. She has since released her first song and is actively working on forming a culturally rooted Indian girl group aimed at bridging Indian and international pop markets. Known for her freestyle dancing, songwriting, singing, shooting skills, and even doll impressions, Sanjana is a creative force who values reinvention. Her advocacy focuses on promoting sustainability through better waste management and reshaping Indian pop music with global appeal. She continues to uplift and inspire others through her artistic journey and commitment to a greener, more inclusive world.
In the coming months, she will be seen walking down the stage at the 2025 Miss Universe competition. The competition is owned by one of the biggest beauty pageant organizations in the world – the Glamanand Entertainment Pvt Ltd (popularly known as the Glamanand Group). The organization was established by its founder and president, Nikhil Anand in the year 2013 and gradually it became one of the leading beauty pageant producers in the world. At the conclusion of this year’s Miss Universe India competition, the reigning titleholder, Rhea Singha from Gujarat will crown her successor, who would later go onto represent India at the prestigious Miss Universe 2025 competition, scheduled to happen in the month of November in Thailand.
