In conversation with Kavitha S, Mrs. India 2025

Kavitha S from Karnataka was crowned Mrs. India 2025 at the national pageant organised by the Glamanand Group. The finale was held on 13 October 2025 in Jaipur, where she received the crown from outgoing titleholder Shruti Sharma. Kavitha is a Software Enterprise Architect by profession and a model by passion. She holds a degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Her journey reflects discipline, consistency and a clear sense of purpose.

While balancing her role as a wife, mother and working professional, she represents the modern Indian woman who manages multiple responsibilities with focus and determination. Kavitha entered the pageant hoping to set an example for her daughter and to support women who feel unheard or overlooked. Through her title, she aims to encourage women of all backgrounds to believe in themselves, prioritise self-growth and pursue their goals with confidence.

Here’s an exclusive interview with her.

Q1. Congratulations on winning the title of Mrs. India 2025. How did it feel when your name was announced as the new Mrs. India? What was the first thought that crossed your mind?

Answer: When my name was announced, I was overwhelmed with emotions — it felt like time stood still. The first thought that crossed my mind was of my daughter. I wanted her to see that no matter how long it takes, dreams do come true with persistence and belief. It was a moment of gratitude — to my family, to everyone who supported me silently, and to the version of myself who never gave up on this dream of two decades.

Q2. What has been the most challenging part of your journey leading up to the crown, and how did you overcome it?

Answer: The biggest challenge was balancing my many roles — being a wife, mother, and full-time software engineer — while preparing for the pageant. There were moments of exhaustion and self-doubt, but I reminded myself why I started. I learned to manage my time better, to prioritize self-care, and most importantly, to believe that being ambitious doesn’t make me less of a mother or wife. It made me stronger and more fulfilled in every role I play.

Q3. What inspired you to participate in Mrs. India and what message did you hope to convey through your journey?

Answer: I was inspired by the thought of becoming the woman I once needed — strong, confident, and unapologetically herself. My journey was a message to every woman who hides her dreams behind responsibilities: that it’s never too late to rediscover yourself. I wanted to show that self-love, confidence, and personal growth are not selfish — they are essential. Through my participation, I hoped to be the voice for women who suffer in silence and to remind them that they, too, deserve to shine.

Q4. What has been the most memorable moment in your journey and why?

Answer: The most memorable moment was seeing my daughter’s eyes sparkle with pride when I walked the ramp. In that instant, I realized that my journey had already made an impact — not just through a crown, but by showing her what strength, resilience, and grace look like. That connection, that silent message of empowerment between mother and daughter, will forever remain etched in my heart.

Q5. How has this experience changed you?

Answer: This journey has transformed me from within. It taught me the power of vulnerability, discipline, and self-belief. I’ve learned that true beauty lies in authenticity — in embracing both your strengths and your scars. I now see challenges as stepping stones and understand that success isn’t about perfection, but about progress and purpose. I’ve emerged stronger, more compassionate, and deeply committed to empowering others.

Q6. What’s something surprising or unexpected about pageant life that most people don’t know?

Answer: Most people think pageants are all about glamour, but they are actually about growth. Behind the lights and stage, there’s a lot of self-reflection, discipline, and emotional strength involved. You learn to face your fears, manage pressure, and celebrate others’ victories as much as your own. It’s a journey of transformation — both inside and out — and it teaches you resilience, humility, and sisterhood.

Q7. What’s next for you after the crown?

Answer: Winning the crown is just the beginning. I want to use this platform to mentor and empower women — to help them believe in their worth and potential. I plan to advocate for emotional wellness and self-growth among women, especially working mothers who often forget themselves in the process of giving to others. I envision building a community that uplifts, inspires, and nurtures women to dream big and live fearlessly.
